A little story about Indigenous people and Agami Records
This song is an Alunawachuma sketch from 2016 made with a field recording of Maasai People from Kenya (Massai is the Brasilian spelling)
Alunawchuma is the creator of Agami Records and Agami Seeds of Light Campaigns. He is dedicated to supporting the activities and communities that are part of the SEED campaigns. Agami Seeds of Light is 100% nonprofit meaning 100% of the money generated goes directly to the campaigns. Agami Records doesn't keep 1 cent for operational costs.
Every time we work with indigenous artists, 100% of the money generated through that music goes back to the indigenous artists and their communities. These Maasai people were recorded in 2016 in Kenya, (Agami Records didn't exist yet). I currently don't have contact with them but considering they are Indigenous people, I will dedicate this money to support the Indigenous people and projects that we are working with. Currently, we are working mainly with Mbya Guarani indigenous people of south Brazil. Last month, in March 2023 Maira and I went to visit 5 villages in Santa Catarina and spent over €1500 to support the villages, mainly with food donations. (They always ask for food donations. How can one say "Sorry I don't have money to help" when I fly long distances to visit them and record, learn, and support their culture, yet I don't have money to help them eat?)
The fact that these communities live below the poverty line is quite distressing. They live on the outskirts of one of the richest cities in Brazil, yet they live with scarcity of food and other basic living supplies, and they also receive threats from local nonindigenous people who want them to move out of their land.
Why do some people want indigenous people to leave and make space? Usually, it's because people want to destroy nature for some sort of profit-based motive, and indigenous people interfere with this. One of the biggest battles and priorities for the indigenous people of Brazil and I'm sure all other countries, is to get their land demarcated and officially recognized as indigenous territory.
When land is an Indigenous territory, it's usually very preserved as for them it's very important to live in nature and in harmony with nature, (there might be very few cases where this is not the case, but this is usually due to the fact that those communities are now trying to adapt and survive with the modern and capitalist model of living).

Considering the high costs of paying for Bandcamp membership, Soundcloud pro, paying for distribution for album artwork, Mastering, and the many other costs involved with running a record label, I ask for a minimum of 3.33 euros for this song. (If you feel to pay more we would be very grateful). This will go to help pay back the €1500 spent last month to support the Mbya Guarani people of Santa Catarina. Here you can learn a little about one of the Indigenous territories that we visited
